OpticPulsse Studio’s story began with a surfing trip to Saipan. Founders Yanni and Li set out with three pairs of sunglasses, only to face frustration at every turn:

• Professional outdoor models: Bulky and nose-crushing, leaving red marks after just one afternoon.
• Trendy styles: Thin lenses failed to block midday glare from the ocean pier, stinging their eyes even when squinting.
• Commuter models: Lightweight, but seawater splashes instantly blurred vision.

What was meant to be a relaxing trip became a cycle of adjusting frames and wiping lenses—their frustration sparking a critical question.

2. The "Why" & The Leap

“Why can’t we find sunglasses that balance protection, comfort, and style?” This question lingered on their flight home, and it led to action:

• Li quit her job as a fashion editor to focus fully on developing better sunglasses.
• Yanni set out to solve the “non-pressing yet stable” frame challenge: She visited over a dozen factories with prototypes, tweaking titanium alloy curvature until test wearers could comfortably wear the frames for 4 consecutive hours without fatigue.

3. Perfecting the Details: Lenses & Design

To deliver both protection and clarity, Yanni collaborated with an optical lab. After testing 23 lens coatings, they settled on high-definition polarized lenses that filter 99.8% of UVA/UVB rays—even cutting through midday road glare during driving.

In design, OpticPulsse rejects the “either/or” of outdoor vs. commuter styles, instead catering to diverse lifestyles:
